A state natural reserve of regional significance “Derezovsky” will be created in the Voronezh region. The corresponding project was prepared by the regional government, the Interfax news agency reported citing the official website of the regional government.
The new reserve is reported to be located in the Verkhnemamonsky district with an area of 800 hectares.
The creation of the reserve will contribute to the development of ecotourism in the Voronezh region, as well as protect the local nature from human activities. In particular, it is reported that the construction, use of chemicals, exploration and mining, as well as other activities harmful to the environment, will be prohibited in the protected area.
