This will allow pedestrians and cyclists to move safely between settlements.

– Our residents asked us to connect the villages with a single pedestrian connection. We will complete this task by February. The route passes through mountainous terrain. In order to protect Sochi residents and tourists in snowfalls, it was decided to mount a 90-meter protective gallery here, – said the head of Sochi Alexey Kopaigorodsky.

To do this, a reinforced concrete structure is cast right on the spot using a special metal formwork. 6 of the 16 columns are already ready. The slopes behind the gallery are reinforced with gabion walls. The grounds for three stops are being prepared. Granite paving stones are being laid in the pedestrian zone and asphalt on the bike path. These works are planned to be completed by the end of the year.
